Golf: PGTI event tees off today
The PGTI Players championship will be held at the Tollygunge Golf Club course here from Tuesday to Friday. The event offers Rs. 30 lakh in prize money.
This is the first leg of the 2009 PGTI Players championship, an annual series of four events wherein each zone of the country hosts one event every season.
The city is set to witness a fascinating contest as all the prominent names of Indian professional golf will be vying for honours.
The strong field includes Mukesh Kumar, Ashok Kumar, Shamim Khan, Rahul Ganapathy, Harendra Gupta, Arjun Singh and Harmeet Kahlon.
Former India cricketer, Ajay Jadeja, is set to make his debut as a professional golfer at this event
